Product Overview
Sodium Laureth Sulfate (AES) is an anionic surfactant that appears as a white or pale yellow viscous liquid or paste with a slight odor. First developed in Germany in 1930, AES is readily soluble in water and ethanol. It represents a series of surfactants with different carbon chain lengths and degrees of ethylene oxide polymerization, with sodium dodecyl polyoxyethylene ether sulfate being the most common product.

Product Characteristics
Available in two concentration categories: high-concentration products (60%-70% active ingredient in gel-like paste) and low-concentration products (23%-30% active ingredient in liquid form). AES offers excellent detergency, wetting, foaming, and emulsifying properties with superior foam stability in hard water and protein-rich environments. It maintains stability in alkaline and weakly acidic water conditions.
Compared to traditional anionic surfactants, AES demonstrates better solubility, hard water resistance, foaming ability, and wetting power. Performance remains consistent even with increased electrolytes and water hardness. AES provides stronger detergency than LAS and SDS, requires lower effective concentrations, and has broader application ranges.
