Description

A pinion shaft is a high-precision transmission component that meshes with a girth gear (large ring gear) to drive heavy rotary machinery such as rotary kilns, ball mills, rod mills, dryers, and rotary coolers.It is mounted between the drive motor, gear reducer, and the main equipment, transmitting torque to drive the cylinder to rotate smoothly and continuously under heavy load.

Ensures stable, low-speed rotation of the kiln or mill

Withstands heavy radial and axial loads, shock, and fatigue

Maintains precise meshing with the large gear ring

Supports stable operation under high dust and high-temperature conditions

Material & Heat Treatment

Materials:30CrNiMo8, Hardness requirement: HB260-300 Gear quenching and tempering + gear grinding, Grade 6 precision. Produced according to the customer's drawing dimensions and the drawing confirmed by the user.

Heat treatment:

Quenching and tempering (Q&T)

High-frequency surface hardening

Tempering to improve toughness

Hardness: HB220–280, HRC45–55 on tooth surface

Design & Structural Features

Integral forged shaft with precision-machined pinion gear

High accuracy gear grinding (Grade 6–8 accuracy)

High concentricity, low runout, smooth meshing

Equipped with keyways, threaded ends, or mounting shoulders

Designed for long service life under continuous heavy-duty working conditions

Suitable for forward and reverse operation
