This desander harnesses the centrifugal separation mechanism to isolate and eliminate sand and mixed impurities. Its eccentric feeding pipe directs the slurry to generate a downward spiral flow; the flow redirects upward at the conical part prior to ultimate discharge.
Under the combined effect of centrifugal force and gravity, impurities gradually sink into the bottom slag collection hopper. The integrated anti-reflux parts block separated impurities from being re-entrained, and accumulated residues can be completely washed out by activating the manual on-off valve.
This sand-separating dewatering cyclone eliminates sand and sediment from milled starch, cassava and potato slurries, and is commonly utilized across multiple starch processing sectors.
