Industrial Desander for Cassava Starch Slurry - High-Efficiency Sand Removal


1.Work principle:

This desanding equipment uses centrifugal separation to effectively remove sand and impurities from raw materials. Here’s how it works: a water inlet pipe is mounted off-center on the cylinder. When the water-material mixture flows in through the cyclone sand inlet, it swirls downward along the cylinder wall’s tangent. Once it hits a certain part of the cone section, the flow reverses and spirals upward along the cylinder’s central axis, with purified water finally exiting through the top pipe. During this process, sand and heavy impurities are pushed by centrifugal force and gravity to stick to the cone wall, then slide down into the bottom slag bucket. The bucket has anti-backflow parts to stop accumulated impurities from being swept upward by the water. When impurities build up to the preset level, just open the manual discharge valve, and the leftover water will flush them out smoothly.

The desanding hydrocyclone is designed to eliminate sand and mud from crushed starch, cassava and potato slurries. It has broad applications in corn starch, cassava starch, cassava flour, wheat starch, sago and potato starch processing.
