Industrial Desander for Cassava Starch Slurry - High-Efficiency Sand Removal with 304 Stainless Steel for Cassava Lines


1.Work principle:

This desanding equipment leverages centrifugal separation to reliably remove sand and impurities from raw materials. Here’s its working mechanism: an eccentrically mounted water inlet pipe connects to the cylinder. When the water-material mixture flows in through the cyclone sand inlet, it spirals downward along the cylinder wall in a tangential motion. Upon reaching a designated part of the conical section, the flow reverses course and spirals upward along the cylinder’s central axis, with purified water finally exiting through the top pipe.
During this cycle, centrifugal force and gravity push sand and heavy impurities to cling to the cone wall, which then slide down into the bottom slag bucket. The bucket features anti-backflow parts that block accumulated impurities from being swept upward by water flow. When impurities build up to the preset level, just open the manual discharge valve, and residual water will flush the debris out smoothly.


2. Description of Desander :


The desanding hydrocyclone is designed to eliminate sand and mud from crushed starch, cassava and potato slurries. It has broad applications in corn starch, cassava starch, cassava flour, wheat starch, sago and potato starch processing.
