Description of sweet potato starch making machinery :
A vacuum drum filter press features a rotating drum housed in a slurry holding tank. As the drum turns through the slurry, vacuum suction pulls liquid and suspended solids onto the drum’s pre-coated filter medium.
The liquid is drawn through the medium via vacuum power, collected inside the drum, and then expelled. The solid cake clinging to the drum’s outer wall is carried to a scraping unit, where it is scraped off along with a thin layer of the filter medium — revealing a brand-new filtering surface for the next cycle as the drum keeps spinning.
