This desander uses the centrifugal separation principle to split and get rid of sand and mixed contaminants. Its eccentric feed pipe leads the slurry to create a downward spiral flow; the flow turns upward at the conical part before being finally discharged.
Under the action of centrifugal force and gravity, impurities gradually sink into the bottom slag collection hopper. The fitted anti-reflux components stop separated impurities from being carried back in, and accumulated residues can be totally flushed out by switching on the manual on-off valve.
This sand-separating dewatering cyclone clears sand and sediment from ground starch, cassava and potato slurries, and is commonly used in numerous starch processing fields.
