The clutch cylinder is the core component of the automotive clutch system, and its working principle can be summarized into the following three stages:
Pressure transmission and separation operation
When the driver steps on the clutch pedal, the hydraulic oil generated by the clutch master cylinder is transmitted to the slave cylinder through the high-pressure pipeline. The piston inside the cylinder moves backwards under the pressure of hydraulic oil, pushing the release fork to separate the clutch pressure plate from the flywheel, thereby cutting off the power transmission between the engine and the gearbox.
Power interruption and gear shift preparation
After separation, the clutch pressure plate disengages from the flywheel, allowing the driver to perform gear shifting operations. When the pedal is released, the cylinder stops working, the pressure plate comes into contact with the flywheel again, and power transmission is restored.
Hydraulic oil circulation and system balance
The hydraulic oil in the sub pump flows back to the oil tank under pressure, completing the cycle. At the same time, there is an increasing relationship between the air pressure booster and the clutch pedal stroke, ensuring that the driver can accurately control the degree of clutch disengagement and provide manual operation support in the event of assist system failure.
