Carbonless NCR Paper Introduction
Carbonless copy paper is made up of sheets that are coated with micro - encapsulated dye, ink, or reactive clay. The back of the top sheet is covered with micro - encapsulated dye (known as a Coated Back or CB sheet). The bottom sheet has its upper surface coated with a clay that rapidly reacts with the dye to produce a lasting mark (Coated Front, CF). Any middle sheets are coated with clay on the top and dye on the bottom (Coated Front and Back, CFB).
What is the procedure for using carbonless NCR paper?
First, insert the blank paper into your copier or printer. When dealing with 3 - part forms, you need to print the document three times, and for 2 - part forms, two printings are required. Once the printing is completed, staple the sheets together. Then, any text written on the top page will be transferred to all the 3 or 2 pages below. You can simply print each sheet separately, and after that, the sheets can be either glued or stapled. The carbonless transfer occurs as you write on the top - most page.
