Technical Properties & Manufacturing
What is C11000 Copper?
C11000, also known as Electrolytic Tough Pitch (ETP) Copper, is the most common grade of pure copper. It is produced by electrolytic refining, followed by melting and casting in a controlled atmosphere.
Key Material Properties
- High Electrical Conductivity - C11000 copper offers 100% IACS (International Annealed Copper Standard) conductivity, making it ideal for power transmission
- Excellent Thermal Conductivity - Copper's high thermal conductivity (around 401 W/m*K) allows efficient heat transfer for heat exchangers and cooling applications
- Corrosion Resistance - Pure copper naturally forms a protective patina that shields it from further corrosion
- Formability & Workability - Despite being "Hard" temper, C11000 can be bent, cut, punched, and welded with proper techniques
Manufacturing Process
- Step 1: Copper cathodes (99.9%+ pure) are melted in controlled furnaces
- Step 2: Molten copper is cast into slabs or billets
- Step 3: Hot rolling reduces thickness to approximate size
- Step 4: Cold rolling achieves precise thickness and surface finish
- Step 5: Annealing (if required) adjusts hardness and ductility
- Step 6: Cutting and slitting to custom dimensions
- Step 7: Packaging for export
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: What is the difference between C11000 and C10200 copper?
A: Both are pure copper grades, but C11000 (ETP) contains a small amount of oxygen (0.02-0.04%) and offers 100% IACS conductivity, making it the most common, cost-effective choice. C10200 (OF) is oxygen-free copper with even higher purity and ductility, often used in critical electronic and vacuum applications.
Q2: Can you cut the copper plates to custom sizes?
A: Yes! We offer custom cutting services - width from 100mm to 2000mm and length customized to your requirements. Just provide your dimensions.
Q3: What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
A: Our MOQ is 1 ton. For larger orders, we offer volume discounts.
Q4: What payment terms do you accept?
A: We accept 30% T/T Advance + 70% T/T Balance.
Q5: How do you package the copper plates for shipping?
A: We use seaworthy export packaging or as customers require.
Q6: What is the lead time?
A: Standard lead time is 7-20 days after order confirmation. For large quantities or custom specifications, please inquire.
Q7: Do you provide samples?
A: Yes, samples are available. Please contact us to discuss sample policy and costs.
Q8: Which countries do you export to?
A: We export globally, with strong experience in the Middle East, South America, Asia, and Africa. We handle all documentation for smooth customs clearance.
Q9: Can I get a Mill Test Certificate (MTC)?
A: Absolutely. We provide a Mill Test Certificate (MTC) with each shipment, confirming purity and mechanical properties.
