1. Product Description

Stainless steel welded pipe is a longitudinally or spirally welded tubular product manufactured from cold-rolled or hot-rolled stainless steel strip/coil. The forming process is carried out on continuous roll-forming mills, followed by seam welding using Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG), High-Frequency Induction (HFI), or Submerged Arc Welding (SAW). Post-weld treatment includes solution annealing (for austenitic grades) and pickling/passivation to restore corrosion resistance.

Material grades are designated according to ASTM, EN, JIS, or GB standards. Commonly supplied grades include:

Austenitic: 304, 304L, 316, 316L, 310S, 321

Ferritic: 409L, 430

Martensitic: 410, 420

Duplex: 2205, 2507

Super-austenitic: 904L, 254SMO
