One-Fitting Branch Connection with Integral Isolation Valve
The electrofusion tapping valve saddle with under clamp adds a new 63mm branch connection with an integral brass isolation valve to an existing PE pipeline — without disrupting the main flow. It combines tapping tee and valve in one fitting, eliminating the need for a separate in-line valve in the service off-take.
The 4mm Fusamatic automatic pin reads the correct welding parameters automatically, ensuring reliable fusion of the saddle to the main pipe. The 14mm AF drive shaft drives the integral cutter through the main pipe wall and then actuates the valve, enabling branches to be made on both dead and live mains.
Manufactured from virgin PE100 black polyethylene with a moulded-in brass sleeve and integrated O-rings for a gas/water tight seal. Rated Water PN16 / Gas 10 Bar. Suitable for gas, water, wastewater, mining and irrigation applications.
Fits main bodies from DN63 to DN225 (SDR 11 – 17.6) with a fixed 63mm outlet — 9 standard references. Operating temperature range: -10°C to +40°C.
Typical Applications
- New service connections to existing water and gas mains
- Branching from live mains without shutdown or flow disruption
- Wastewater, mining and irrigation network off-takes
- Where an integral shutoff valve is needed at the point of connection
- Branch points requiring a reusable isolation point
Key Features & Benefits
- Integrated brass bodied valve — reusable shutoff point, no additional in-line valve needed (max operating torque 90 Nm)
- 14mm AF drive shaft with integral cutter — cut through the main pipe wall and actuate the valve with one tool (max cutting torque 120 Nm)
- Moulded-in brass sleeve with integrated O-rings — gas/water tight seal for both dead and live mains
- Add branches to existing pipelines without disrupting main flow
- Under clamp snaps quickly into place — saves time, no specialist tooling required
- Fusamatic 4mm automatic pin — reads welding parameters automatically
- Water PN16 / Gas 10 Bar rating (dependent on PE pipe welded)
- Double spigot outlet — ample spigot length to cut off a coupler/reducer and fuse a second fitting
- Saddle and fusion mat designed to minimise joint cycle times
- Rising pin fusion indicator for easy monitoring of the fusion process
- Manual welding parameters moulded into the body as backup
- Permanent batch number + barcode/QR code for full traceability (ISO 13950 / ISO 12176-4)

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about our tapping valve saddle with under clamp.
What is a tapping valve saddle and why use one?
A tapping valve saddle adds a new 63mm branch connection with an integral isolation valve to an existing PE pipeline without disrupting the main flow. It combines the tapping tee and valve in one fitting, eliminating the need for a separate in-line valve.
Can the branch be tapped under pressure?
Yes. The 14mm AF drive shaft drives the integral cutter through the main pipe wall and then actuates the valve. The moulded-in brass sleeve with integrated O-rings provides a gas/water tight seal for both dead and live mains. Maximum permitted cutting torque is 120Nm.
Which main pipe sizes does this saddle fit?
The saddle fits main bodies from DN63 to DN225 with a fixed 63mm outlet, covering SDR 11 to SDR 17.6. Available references include 63X63, 75X63, 90X63, 110X63, 125X63, 160X63, 180X63, 200X63 and 225X63.
What is the pressure rating and which applications are served?
The saddle is rated Water PN16 / Gas 10 Bar (dependent on the PE pipe welded and local regulations). It is suitable for gas, water, wastewater, mining and irrigation applications.
What is the minimum order quantity?
The standard MOQ is 100 pieces per size, but we are flexible for trial orders. Smaller sample quantities are available for evaluation. Contact us with your required sizes and quantity for a tailored quote.
