TC muscalure is an oily substance, the melting point is <0oC, the boiling point is 378OC, the vapor pressure is 4.7mPa (27oC), the refractive index is n20p1.46, and the density is 0.807g/cm3.
The toxicity of this product is acute transdermal LD50>23070mg/kg in rats and acute transdermal LD50>2025mg/kg in rabbits. Mainly used as an attractant for miscellaneous houseflies, sometimes mixed with pesticides as poisons.
Muscalure is a biochemical attracting house flies .To be used for formulating products for house fly control.
