The XW-PC12-500 addresses this by combining PLC-controlled servo motion with real-time pressure and length monitoring, providing automated compression for prismatic battery modules up to 1200mm in length.

Key Features

Servo-Driven Compression System

The compression cycle is executed by a servo motor paired with an electric cylinder under PLC control. This configuration allows the operator to preset both target compression length and pressure, after which the machine completes the full cycle automatically. When either the length or pressure reaches the preset value, the process ends.

Real-Time Pressure and Position Measurement

A high-precision pressure sensor monitors compression force throughout the cycle with 0.1kg resolution. Position feedback from the servo system provides 0.01mm accuracy, enabling the machine to record and display real-time data on the touch screen interface during each compression sequence.

Touch Screen Operation

Parameter entry, cycle monitoring, and process data review are performed through a touch screen interface. The software provides access to compression presets, real-time pressure and length readings, and cycle status indicators.

Bottom Belt Fitting and Sliding Tray

The machine includes a bottom belt fitting function and a sliding tray for positioning battery modules before compression. These features support the loading and unloading workflow during assembly operations.

Prismatic Battery Compatibility

Designed for prismatic battery cells, the machine accommodates various cell sizes. The 1200mm stroke can be customized to match specific module or pack dimensions based on production requirements.

Integration with Production Lines

The XW-PC12-500 can be positioned as a standalone compression station or integrated within a prismatic battery module assembly line. The machine accepts prismatic battery modules positioned via the sliding tray, with the bottom belt fitting supporting the material handling sequence. After compression, completed modules are transferred to downstream processes such as module testing, busbar welding, or pack enclosure assembly.

Operational Workflow

During operation, the operator positions the prismatic battery module on the sliding tray and activates the cycle through the touch screen interface. The servo-driven electric cylinder advances according to the preset compression length and pressure parameters, with real-time pressure and position data displayed throughout the sequence. The cycle concludes automatically when either the length or pressure setpoint is reached, after which the compressed module is removed via the sliding tray for the next production stage.
