It is a critical coolant storage and pressure balancing component installed in the engine compartment—the coolant reservoir tank (also known as the expansion tank). The coolant reservoir tank acts as the "reservoir" and "pressure regulator" of the cooling system, responsible for storing and replenishing coolant. When the cooling system temperature rises, the expanding coolant flows into the tank; when the temperature drops, the coolant is drawn back into the radiator and cooling circuits, maintaining pressure balance in the cooling system and preventing coolant loss or overflow. It is a core component ensuring stable thermal management of the electric motor, battery pack, and electronic control system.
