Description

The 114M5329-01 is the High Voltage DC version of the Bently Nevada 3500/15 AC & DC Power Supply module. It is a half-height power

supply module designed for use in the Bently Nevada 3500 machinery protection / vibration monitoring rack. The module provides

regulated DC power to the 3500 system modules (e.g. sensors, CPUs, I/O) and supports

edundant configurations for high availability.

FAQ


Q1: What is 3500/15 in the Bently Nevada system?
A: “3500/15” designates the power supply module section of the Bently Nevada 3500 series rack. It accepts

AC and DC power supply modules and delivers the required power

to the rack’s instrumentation and modules.

Q2: What is the difference between the 114M5329-01 version and others?
A: The 114M5329-01 is the High Voltage DC version, accepting input from 88 to 140 Vdc. Other

versions may support Low Voltage DC or AC (universal) input.


Q3: Can I mix this module with legacy DC power modules in the same rack?
A: No. The datasheet states that legacy high/low DC power supplies and their

PIMs are incompatible with this newer

3500/15 DC supply and PIM.



Q4: What happens if one power supply fails?
A: If two power supply modules are installed in the rack, the bottom (lower) slot acts

as the primary, and the upper acts as backup. If the primary fails or is removed,

the secondary can take over without interruption. Also, inserting or

removing a supply does not disrupt the rack,

as long as at least one is present.
