1. Core Purpose:
Its primary function is to protect the track tensioning cylinder and seals from being damaged by excessive pressure. When grease is pumped into the grease nipple to adjust track tension, this valve acts as an automatic overflow.

2. How It Works:
The valve is typically built into the grease fitting housing or the cylinder itself.
