This custom-engineered EPS foam mold is manufactured from high-grade aluminum alloy and designed for producing structural foam patterns used in lost foam casting and protective packaging applications. The mold consists of precision-machined cavity blocks, steam heating channels, and water cooling circuits that enable controlled expansion and fusion of pre-expanded polystyrene beads. Aluminum is selected as the primary mold material for its high thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance, which support consistent cycle performance and pattern quality. The mold is configured for vertical or horizontal molding presses, with split designs that facilitate clean pattern ejection and dimensional stability across production runs. Each mold is custom-built to customer part geometry, with gating and venting arrangements that ensure complete cavity fill and minimal surface defects.
