ASTM 6061 Aluminum Pipe 2mm Thickness Polished Surface Used For Truck​

6061 aluminum alloy is a high quality aluminum alloy product produced by heat treatment and predrawing process. Although its strength can not be compared with 2XXX series or 7XXX series, it has more magnesium and silicon alloy characteristics. It has excellent machining performance, excellent welding characteristics and electroplating properties, good corrosion resistance, high toughness and no deformation after processing, dense material without defects and easy polishing, easy color film, excellent oxidation effect and other excellent characteristics.

The main alloying elements of 6061 aluminum alloy are magnesium and silicon, forming Mg2Si. If it contains a certain amount of manganese and chromium, it can neutralize the bad effect of iron; Sometimes a small amount of copper or zinc is added to improve the strength of the alloy without significantly reducing its corrosion resistance; There is a small amount of copper in the conductive material to offset the bad effect of titanium and iron on the conductivity; Zirconium or titanium can refine grain and control recrystallization structure; Lead and bismuth can be added to improve machinability. Mg2Si is solidly dissolved in aluminum, and the alloy has the function of artificial aging hardening. The main alloying elements in 6061 aluminum alloy are magnesium and silicon, which has moderate strength, good corrosion resistance, weldability and good oxidation effect.
