Manganin (Manganese copper) is a precision resistance alloy with copper as the base, manganese (10%~40%)

and a small amount of nickel, iron and other elements added.

The alloy is characterized by very low thermal electromotive force (emf) compared to copper.

It belongs to the category of manganese white copper (such as Chinese grade BMn3-12 or 6J13).
