The MTL SD32X belongs to the MTL SD modular surge protection series, a compact hybrid-circuit surge barrier engineered to shield industrial analog/digital process signal wiring from lightning surges, transient voltage spikes and induced electrical interference.

Optimized for 32 VDC / 22 VAC nominal control loops including 4–20mA transmitters, digital valve outputs, alarm circuits and solenoid drivers, this ultra-slim DIN rail module delivers ultra-low line series resistance to minimize signal attenuation. It features multi-stage hybrid surge suppression circuitry, full line-to-line and line-to-screen grounding protection, and certified intrinsic safety approvals for Class I Div 1 / Ex ia hazardous industrial zones. The integrated screen termination terminal simplifies cable shielding earthing, while the narrow footprint enables high-density cabinet mounting for large-scale DCS and PLC I/O systems. ATEX, IECEx and FM global hazardous location certifications support oil & gas, chemical, petrochemical and wastewater plant deployments.
