Brand: JUTAI (Shenzhen Jutai Comm Co., Ltd.)
Model: LD-100 (AC 100-240V) / LD-102 (DC 12-24V)
Alternative Names: Loop Detector, Loop Sensor, Vehicle Loop Sensor, Parking Entry Sensor
This single channel loop detector is engineered to identify vehicles by sensing changes in the electromagnetic field created by a properly installed inductive loop placed in or under the ground surface. It serves as a reliable component in automated systems that require accurate vehicle detection such as parking entrance and exit barriers, industrial overhead doors, and access control points.
The unit is capable of identifying the presence of various vehicle types including trucks, motorcycles, and forklifts. It offers both momentary and continuous output options through its relay contacts, allowing it to be used for a variety of control functions such as opening a gate, activating a light, or counting vehicles.
Designed to work with inductive vehicle loops installed at parking lots, loading docks, and industrial entrances
Provides reliable detection for a broad range of vehicle types such as passenger cars, commercial trucks, two-wheel motorcycles, and industrial forklifts
Equipped with two separate relay outputs which can be used to indicate either presence or a momentary trigger event
Adjustable sensitivity control allows installers to match detector performance to the loop size, wire turns, and installation environment
Multiple configuration options available through easy-to-use DIP switch settings
Visual status indication helps with installation and troubleshooting
Supports both AC and DC power versions depending on model selection
Designed for stable operation in both indoor and outdoor environments when installed in appropriate enclosures
Automated parking barrier gate systems that require vehicle presence before opening or closing
Industrial facility doors and roller shutters where forklifts and other machinery must be detected
Toll stations and entry checkpoints where vehicles need to be identified before proceeding
Access control systems that restrict or allow entry based on vehicle detection
Traffic management and vehicle counting applications
Time-based entry systems and parking management solutions
Warehouse loading bays and vehicle-operated equipment zones
The loop detector is effective for detecting various forms of metal-bodied vehicles, including but not limited to:
Standard passenger vehicles
Commercial trucks and delivery vans
Motorcycles and scooters
Industrial forklifts and small machinery
Other vehicles with sufficient metallic mass to alter the loop field
Proper installation of the inductive loop is essential to ensure consistent and accurate detection results.
This device supports two primary methods of vehicle detection:
Presence Detection Mode: Keeps the output relay active so long as a vehicle remains over the loop. Useful for holding open a gate or indicating a space is occupied.
Pulse Detection Mode: Produces a short output signal when a vehicle is first detected. Commonly used to initiate an action such as opening a barrier or recording an entry.
Sensitivity Level: Can be adjusted to ensure proper operation with different loop configurations. More sensitive settings are suitable for smaller or fewer wire turns. Less sensitive settings work better with larger loops or high-traffic areas.
Relay Activation Time: Output duration can be set to match the needs of the controlled device, such as how long a gate should remain open.
Mode Selection: Choose between different operating behaviors including auto-reset, manual hold, test mode, and frequency options to reduce interference.
Frequency Range: Adjustable to help prevent cross-talk when multiple detectors are installed within close proximity
Any adjustments made to the DIP switch settings require a reset of the device to take effect.
The detector relies on one or more inductive loops that are installed in the ground. These loops are typically made from stranded copper wire installed in a loop shape and then sealed into the pavement using a durable material such as epoxy or asphalt.
General guidance for loop turns based on loop size:
Loops around 3 to 4 meters in perimeter: 6 wire turns
Loops around 4 to 6 meters: 5 turns
Loops around 6 to 10 meters: 4 turns
Loops around 10 to 20 meters: 3 turns
Loops over 20 meters: 2 turns
For best results, loops should be installed at least 2 meters apart from one another if multiple units are used in the same area. Longer cable runs between the loop and the detector should use shielded cable to preserve signal integrity.
