The PEPPERL+FUCHS FS-LB-I Surge Protection Barrier is a 1-channel field mount module designed to protect sensitive field instruments and transmitters from induced transients caused by lightning strokes, switching impulses, and other electrical disturbances.

This surge protection barrier limits induced transients by diverting transient current to ground and limiting signal line voltage to safe levels during surge events. It provides 85 V line-to-line and 500 V line-to-ground clamping voltage for protected instruments.
