Corrosion Resistant High Strength Duplex Stainless Plate 2205 Hot Rolled for Industrial Applications
Duplex 2205 stainless steel (combining ferritic and austenitic properties) is extensively used in applications requiring excellent corrosion resistance and high strength. The S31803 grade has undergone modifications resulting in UNS S32205, offering superior corrosion resistance.
This grade undergoes precipitation of brittle micro-constituents above 300°C and ductile-to-brittle transition below -50°C, making it unsuitable for use at these extreme temperatures.
Duplex 2205 (UNS S32205) is a nitrogen-enhanced stainless steel chosen for its exceptional corrosion resistance combined with high strength, offering superior performance compared to most austenitic stainless steels.
