Corrosion Resistance Performance
Alloy 625 demonstrates excellent resistance to various corrosive environments including mineral acids, alkalis, and organic acids in both oxidizing and reducing conditions. The high nickel content provides virtual immunity to chloride stress corrosion cracking.
Fabrication & Processing
Hot Forming
Working temperature range: 1650-2150°F (900-1177°C)
Cold Forming
Best performed in annealed condition with higher work hardening rates than austenitic stainless steels
Welding
Compatible with GTAW (TIG), PLASMA, GMAW (MIG/MAG), SAW and SMAW (MMA) processes
Machining
Recommended in annealed condition with low cutting speeds and adequate cut depth
