EN DIN 1.4512 Standard 409L Stainless Steel Strip for Exhaust System
AISI 409L stainless steel strip (SUH409L stainless steel coil) is a cold-rolled steel sheet in coil specifically designed for exhaust systems, decoration, and construction applications.
Compared with ordinary carbon steel, stainless steel contains additional alloying elements such as Chromium (Cr), Nickel (Ni), Manganese (Mn), and Molybdenum (Mo), providing superior material characteristics and corrosion resistance.
Material Properties
The corrosion resistance of stainless steel primarily depends on Chromium content, while Molybdenum and Nitrogen enhance corrosion resistance. Nickel ensures proper microstructure and mechanical properties.

No.4 Good gloss with fine surface lines. Processing: Polishing and tempering rolling of 2D or 2B products with 150-180 abrasive material.
HL Silver-gray with hair streaks. Processing: Polishing 2D or 2B products to create continuous grain surface.
8K Mirror state surface. Processing: Grinding and polishing 2D or 2B products to mirror effect.
2B Silvery white with better gloss and flatness than 2D. Processing: Hot rolling + annealing + pickling + cold rolling + annealing pickling + quenching and tempering rolling.
BA Excellent surface gloss with high reflectivity, similar to mirror surface. Processing: Hot rolling + annealing + pickling + cold rolling + annealing pickling + surface polishing + quenched and tempered rolling.
1D Matte surface with discontinuous particles. Processing: Hot rolling + annealing + pickling + cold rolling + annealing pickling.
2D Slightly shiny silvery white. Processing: Hot rolling + annealing + pickling + cold rolling + annealing pickling.
No.3 Better gloss with rough surface. Processing: Polishing and tempering rolling of 2D or 2B products with 100-120 abrasive materials.
SB Smooth surface with clear texture, delicate appearance, and high-grade finish. Widely used in kitchen appliances.
